A writer's life, when compared to the ones of her characters, can seem rather dull.  There are no vampire princes, no alpha male heroes rescuing you from your nine-to-five job.  However, occasionally something fun happens.  You're reminded that, without you, those characters, those lives don't exist and when someone notices that... well, it's a pleasure to say the least.
